The epitomic love story of Lost, of Jack Shephard and Kate Austen, has captured the hearts of myself and my fellow Jaters across the globe in so many ways. Their love captures more than that of their feelings for each other, but the significance and theme of the show as a whole, that of redemption, salvation and deliverance.

Over the years, viewers have witnessed their triumphs, their failures and their trepidations through flashbacks, the present time and flashforwards as their feelings for each other mature with the days they are stranded on a deserted island together, with no where to run to but to each other as they slowly, but surely, realize that their meeting was no accident, that their love for one another is no happenstance, in fact, it's the realest, most genuine thing either has ever felt. Jack and Kate, Strangers they never really were, Lovers they will always be. Let us recount the history of one of the most incredible love stories of all time.
