Why?: I think that Jack and Kate are just meant to be together.
Locke said that everyone was brought to the island for a reason and I think
that this may be one of the reasons. In someway each of the characters is
"lost" and the island gives them a new beginning, a chance to start over. I
think that Kate, who is always on the run, is on the island partially to
have her reflect on the deed that she did to become a fugitive and partially
to find someone to love and to trust. The only people she trusted are gone
from her life now. Kate lost her high school sweetheart. She can't trust
even her own mother who turned her in for killing Kate's stepfather. She was
brought on the island to find Jack and let him into her life. That is the
reason why he was the first person she met when they crashed. It was a sign.
I think that Jack with the history of his father and his ex wife makes sense
as well. He, even the so called perfect hero doctor, has skeletons in his
closet and can't tell them to Kate. He can also help her like he strives to
do everyday. He doesn't have to "fix her", he can just simply love her. This
is what the island did. It brought two people destined for each other
together. It let them "find" themselves in one another.

strong connection that we evident from the moment they met. I have to admit
that in the beginning, Jack found it hard to trust Kate because of her past,
but he got over that and he realized that everyone deserves a second chance.
Kate needs Jack and Jack needs Kate. Kate's attraction to Sawyer is just a
physical attraction, but her attraction to Jack is on a much higher and more
meaningful level. If Jack and Kate don't get together, the writers have
"lost" their minds! JATE FOREVER!!

Why?: I honestly don't know who Kate will pick. The writers' way
of putting the story together is brilliant. They saw that Kate and Jack had
the best chemistry. Kate and Sawyer, however, definitely have the most
sexual tension. They've equalized it, making it even harder for us to tell
who she wants. I personally think that she realizes that she and Sawyer fit
better, have more in common, but keeps glancing back at Jack because she
wants him more. Remember our latest episode? Left behind? In the flashback,
her mother said it all. You can't help who you love, it just happens. So,
she wants Jack; this explains everything since the third season. She's been
with Sawyer, is with Sawyer when Jack calls, she can leave with him but she
very reluctantly goes without Jack. She keeps telling Sawyer she wants to go
back. She does go back. Remember that scene where Jack was playing the
piano? It was plain obvious that Kate was feeling something for Jack at that
moment. Later, you see her hurt by Jack's first question to be about Juliet.
So, I think that Kate will choose Jack, but at the moment, we wonder if Jack
will accept her after what he'd seen on the surveillance screen. By the way,
I support both Jate and Skate. I think they would both be satisfying. But
Skate is mostly sexual tension. I think that Jate would be more morally
satisfying. Also, I have seen several reasons why SKATE should happen and
why JATE should happen. I think the JATERS are better. We'll see sooner or
later though, wont we?
